Rocket released in Europe's first satellite launch

LONDON – Virgin Orbit’s LauncherOne rocket was launched from its service plane late on Monday, a key stage of Western Europe’s first satellite tv for pc launch that took off from the coastal city of Newquay in southwest England.

The rocket was launched from below the wing of a modified Boeing 747 out over the Atlantic Ocean, at about 35,000 toes (10,668 meters). 9 small satellites will probably be deployed from the automobile.
