Ukraine's Zelenskiy says Schroeder's actions are 'disgusting'

KYIV – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Wednesday branded as “disgusting” the behaviour of ex-German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, who stated Russia needed a “negotiated answer” to the battle.

Schroeder, who's a pal of President Vladimir Putin, stated he met the Kremlin chief final week, including there was even the opportunity of slowly reaching a cease-fire.

“It's merely disgusting when former leaders of main states with European values work for Russia, which is at battle towards these values,” Zelenskiy stated in a late-night video deal with.

Presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak earlier dismissed Schroeder as a “voice of the Russian royal courtroom” and stated any negotiated peace settlement with Moscow can be contingent on a ceasefire and the withdrawal of Russian troops.
