The warning comes after heavy snow and storm Arwen hit the region on Saturday, with several showers today in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield and Burntwood and Cannock in Staffordshire.
The Met Office said: “Surfaces can get icy cold in some places Sunday night and early Monday, making it difficult to travel.
“Probably some icy stains on some unpaved roads, sidewalks and bike paths, making accidents more likely and travel times longer.
“Probably icy surfaces, which increase the risk of slipping and falling.”
By broadcasting a weather forecast, the Met Office added: “Cloud and rain are moving rapidly south through the evening, leaving clear skies.
“Temperatures fall below these clear ranges, with a widespread, locally sharp frost soon developing. Minimum temperature -5 ° C.”
And for Monday, it added: “Very cool to begin with with some hazy sunshine. Stays dry with occasional sunshine, the best of these in the east. Still feels pretty cold all day. Maximum temperature 6 ° C.”
