New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) on Friday reiterated his want for the GOP to maneuver on from former President Donald Trump.
Sununu, himself a possible Republican presidential candidate, informed MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” there was no method Trump could be the celebration’s 2024 nominee.
“Look, Donald Trump shouldn't be gonna be the nominee,” Sununu informed Mika Brzezinski.
Sununu repeatedly insisted it was very early days within the race and it's simply “not going that method” for Trump. “We’re simply going to say thanks on your service and let’s transfer on,” he added.
Nonetheless, when Brzezinski pressed Sununu on how he’d vote if “lightning struck twice” and Trump did safe the nomination, the governor admitted he’d again the twice-impeached former president.
“Of the previous president and myself, one among us is a lifelong Republican and one among us will at all times help the Republican nominee,” he stated.
“However is he a lifelong Republican?” she replied.
“No. That’s me, Mika,” Sununu responded.
