A FORMER police officer has been charged with making indecent pictures of kids.

John Bramwell, 53, was working as a police sergeant for Devon and Cornwall Police on the time of the alleged offences.

He has been summonsed to seem at Exeter Magistrates' Court docket right now.

Bramwell is charged with two counts of creating incident pictures of kids between September and October 2021.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed he's not employed by the pressure.

A spokesperson stated: "A former Devon & Cornwall Police officer is because of seem in courtroom this afternoon accused of creating indecent pictures of kids.

"Former Police Sergeant, John Bramwell, aged 53 and from Exeter, has been summonsed earlier than Exeter Magistrates’ Court docket on Wednesday 15 February."
