Ukrainians learn demining techniques from Cambodian experts

BATTAMBANGPROVINCE, Cambodia – A group of Ukrainians has been studying demining strategies in Cambodia, one of many world’s most closely landmined international locations after many years of civil battle.

Ukrainian officers have estimated it might take at the very least a decade to clear all of the mines and explosives from its personal land and territorial waters as soon as the battle with Russia is over.

Specialists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have been working with workers from the Cambodian Mine Motion Centre (CMAC), making an attempt out distant managed detonations from a distance in addition to working with mine detectors and sniffer canine.

“It’s very useful coaching,” Arseniy Diadchenko, a part of the Ukraine group stated.

The Cambodian group plans to ship consultants to Poland to proceed the coaching with the Ukrainians.

“The scenario there's completely different, so that's the reason we'll proceed this coaching in Europe, through which they'll apply this tools and expertise to an actual scenario,” CMAC Deputy Director Oum Phumro stated.
