An eight-year-old German lady has been freed after reportedly being locked away in a home for nearly her complete life.
The lady -- recognized solely as "Maria" -- was discovered at her grandparents' residence within the western city of Attendorn in September.
Her household had allegedly saved her from "taking part in life" and going to kindergarten or college.
In line with German media, she had been locked in the home in isolation for seven years and now finds it troublesome to climb stairs.
The lady has now been moved to momentary foster care and is reported to be "in good situation". Medical doctors who examined the lady discovered no indicators of bodily mistreatment or malnourishment.
The general public prosecutor's workplace in Siegen is now investigating the kid's mom and grandparents for false imprisonment, a spokesperson confirmed.
Experiences counsel that, after separating, the mom tried to cover "Maria" from her father and claimed that she had moved to Italy together with her in 2015.
