Adidas Says Its Business Partnership With Kanye West Is ‘Under Review’

German attire firm Adidas introduced Thursday that its enterprise partnership with rapper and dressmaker Ye (formally often known as Kanye West) is “below assessment.”

“After repeated efforts to privately resolve the state of affairs, now we have taken the choice to put the partnership below assessment,” the corporate mentioned in a press release obtained by CNBC. “We'll proceed to co-manage the present product throughout this era.”

The corporate additionally mentioned its relationship with West has been “one of the profitable collaborations in our trade’s historical past.”

West, 45, posted a vulgar response to Adidas on Instagram about its current announcement.

West began working with Adidas to distribute his Yeezy model of sneakers and attire in 2013. Forbes estimates that the partnership is value $1.5 billion.

This Adidas announcement comes days after West wore a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt at his Yeezy runway occasion on Tuesday throughout Paris Vogue Week. An image of West and right-wing pundit Candace Owens, sporting the controversial shirt in white, drew criticism from celebrities and Black Lives Matter supporters, together with the mom of Ahmaud Arbery.
