U.N. chief calls for independent probe of civilian deaths in Ukrainian town

WASHINGTON – United Nations Secretary-Common Antonio Guterres on Sunday mentioned he was “deeply shocked” by photos of useless civilians within the Ukrainian city of Bucha, and he known as for an impartial investigation that “results in efficient accountability.”

Guterres posted his feedback on Twitter a day after witnesses and officers mentioned that Russian troops killed virtually 300 civilians as they withdrew from the city close to Kyiv.

“I'm deeply shocked by the photographs of civilians killed in Bucha, Ukraine,” Guterres mentioned, becoming a member of Western officers in expressing outrage.

“It's important that an impartial investigation results in efficient accountability,” he mentioned.

The Russian protection ministry denied that Russian forces killed civilians in Bucha, saying that movies and pictures of our bodies have been “one more provocation” by the Ukrainian authorities.
