Seth Meyers on Monday mocked Republicans who for years defended Donald Trump’s reward of autocrats and now declare Russia’s invasion of Ukraine “by no means would have occurred” on the previous president’s watch.
The “Late Evening” comic was particularly outraged at Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-S.C.) declaration that Russia didn’t dare invade when Trump was in workplace as a result of he’d have “kicked their ass.”
“He would have kicked their ass,” Meyers mimicked Graham. “However he would have executed it with a shoe that mentioned ‘China’ on the underside, so once they checked out their pants later they’d say, ‘Now I do know who kicked my ass’ and a struggle would begin between these two international locations and we’d be strolling on simple avenue.”
Trump over the weekend reportedly floated the concept of U.S. planes painted with Chinese language flags bombing “the shit out of Russia,” inflicting Russia and China to go to struggle towards one another.
