VIENNA – Russia’s recognition of two separatist areas of Ukraine and its determination to ship troops are the beginning of a brand new invasion and put the world on the verge of “a darkish and harmful period”, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman stated on Tuesday.
“Make no mistake: Yesterday’s actions are the start of the most recent Russian invasion of Ukraine,” she stated in a press release to a unprecedented assembly of the Group for Safety and Cooperation in Europe’s collaborating states, including: “We're on the precipice of a darkish and harmful period.”
