ROYAL Marine commandos seized medication price £100million after they stormed a ship at sea.

The workforce discovered a ton of Afghan heroin, hash and crystal meth on the normal dhow within the Gulf of Oman off Iran.

They launched assault boats from the frigate HMS Montrose and shocked the smugglers.

The Navy mentioned: “They pounced so rapidly the crew had no time to cover their unlawful cargo.”

The boarding workforce’s chief Lt Joe Martin mentioned: “It’s nice to take medication like this off the streets.”

Montrose captain Commander Claire Thompson mentioned: “This can deal an enormous blow to the legal or terrorist gangs utilizing these unlawful narcotics to fund their exercise.”

The dhow was plying the smugglers’ so-called “southern route” – the quickest rising medication route on the earth.

It sees narcotics shipped from the Makran Coast of Iran and Pakistan to East Africa after which on to Europe and the US.

A file £900 million price of medication had been seized on the ocean route since July, a Bahrain-based naval taskforce mentioned.
