Manchester United are facing an emigration of players who could hit double digits before the start of next season.

Morale at Old Trafford is low after interim manager Ralf Rangnick inherited a divided locker room from Ole Gunnar Solskjær, with a staggering 17 players said to be unhappy.

Many of them are under contract and will not be sold, but there will still be a significant number of departures.

Anthony Martial will be loaned out this month if Sevilla improve their opening loan, and is set to move permanently for the summer. Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard have not renewed their contracts, which expire in June, allowing both to leave on free transfers, which would be a major financial blow for United.

Edinson Cavani has been told he can not leave this month, but he will also be a free agent this summer alongside Juan Mata, who may have to be loaned out to Spain or MLS this month.

Donny van de Beek, Dean Henderson and Eric Bailly are all unhappy with their lack of playing time and are open to moves.

Phil Jones, 29, wants regular football and has been linked with a loan move to Benfica. Nemanja Matic, Fred and Diogo Dalot are entering the final year of their contracts this summer, although United have the option to extend Fred and Dalot’s contracts by 12 months. Axel Tuanzebe came to Naples on loan on Wednesday.
