Tribute has poured in after police confirmed a body has been discovered in the search for the missing man Joel McDiarmid.
We told how the 28-year-old had disappeared from the Bathgate area last month.
His family had issued a desperate plea for information after he was last seen at his home around 4pm on Wednesday 17 November.
After police today confirmed that a body had been found, many took to social media to share their heartache.

Police say formal identification is not yet taking place, but Joel’s family has been informed.
There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to Procurator Fiscal.
