Arthur Labinjo-Hughes’ assassins enjoy ice without worry in the world while the boy stands in hell meters away

Two killers snuggle in ice on their couch while their boy, whom they abuse, lives a hell of a walk just a few feet away.

Video by Thomas Hughes and Emma Tustin shows that they enjoy a treat without care in the world as Hughes’ son Arthur Labinjo-Hughes is made to stand alone for up to 14 hours a day in obvious punishment for minor offenses.

In the footage, Hughes enters the lounge where Tustin is lying on the couch in his home in Cranmore Road, Shirley, during the heat wave of June 2020.

He had just bought the treats from a passing ice cream cart in shorts and would have strolled past his hungry son to reach his lover.

Hughes, 29, hands her an ice cream and sits down, while Tustin, 32, supports her feet and bare tattooed legs on her thighs, inches from his face.

Arthur was routinely beaten, isolated, starved, force-fed with salt-lined meals, dehydrated and forced to get up all day before being forced to sleep on the living room floor.

It was captured by the same camera that sealed their fate as it detailed their monstrous treatment of Arthur, who was mortally wounded by Tustin on June 16, leaving with an insurmountable brain injury.

In other videos and audio, one could hear the tortured child say ‘no one will feed me’ seven times in 44 seconds and ‘no one loves me’ four times.

Tustin also puts in two McDonalds Happy Meals by using a toy as a table.

Tustin is now serving a life sentence of at least 29 years for Arthur’s murder, while Hughes, 29, was jailed for 21 years after being found guilty of manslaughter by a jury at Coventry Crown Court last week.

The case has prompted a national outcry of grief and their “small” sentences are set to be referred to the public prosecutor.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called for a review of the verdicts “as a matter of urgency”.

Downing Street said Mr Johnson would consider any request from Arthur’s family for a personal meeting after the child’s grieving grandfather, Peter Halcrow, said the couple responsible for his death “should never see the light of day again”.

Arthur was hailed at Premier League matches this weekend, and on Sunday, hundreds of balloons were briefly launched at an event hosted by Cranmore Road resident Kerry Vines.

When they got to heaven, some shouted ‘goodbye Arthur’, while others looked with tears in their eyes.
