With snow on the ground and temperatures dropping below zero, it’s officially the time of year to blow up your skates and head to one of the city’s many ice rinks!
The City of Toronto officially opened most of Toronto’s outdoor ice rinks on November 27th. As of today, 38 city-run ice rinks have opened. A further 12 open later in the week, and natural ice rinks open in January.
City-run ice rinks will operate from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. You can check the status of each skate here.
In addition to the City-run ice rinks, Union Station’s ice rink officially opened to the public on Monday. Although appointments are not required for skating on city rinks, anyone wishing to skate on Union Station’s ice rink must sign up online for a 45-minute time slot.
Then take your skates and head out to one of the many available ice rinks in town! We have put together a map of all the open skating rinks in Toronto. We will add more when they open!
