A father of two was killed in Rocklin, California, simply after he helped a household of geese safely cross an intersection.
Casey Rivara was returning to his car following his good deed Thursday when he was fatally struck by a car pushed by a teenage motorist, Rocklin Police stated in an announcement.
“The driving force remained on the scene” and “emergency first responders arrived to help” however Rivara, 41, was declared useless quickly after, police added.
The incident stays beneath investigation.
No arrest was made.
Rocklin Police Capt. Scott Horrillo stated “at first look it doesn't appear to be there’s going to be any felony negligence,” reported NBC Information.
