Jude Legislation has confessed to stinking up the set for his new movie, “Firebrand.”
The English actor needed to get absolutely into character taking part in Britain’s King Henry VIII within the film about his relationship with Catherine Parr, the final of his six wives, and recruited a perfumer to recreate the monarch’s pungent scent.
“I learn a number of fascinating accounts that at this era you may scent Henry three rooms away. His leg was rotting so badly. He hid it with rose oil,” Legislation informed reporters on the Cannes Movie Pageant on Monday.
“I believed it could have nice affect if I smelt terrible,” Legislation defined.
The perfumer “in some way managed to got here up with this extraordinary selection which was puss, blood, fecal matter and sweat,” Legislation recalled.
At first, Legislation mentioned he used the scent “very subtly.”
However then it “grew to become a spray-fest” as he totally doused himself within the stench earlier than filming.
