GARY NEVILLE has branded Manchester United's defending "appalling" after they had been blown away 7-0 by Liverpool.
The previous right-back, who was on commentary in the course of the sport, was particularly angered by the style of Darwin Nunez's first purpose.
Neville fumed on the United defenders, with Luke Shaw being slammed for giving the ball away and failing to make a clearance.
The Sky Sports activities pundit stated: "This can be a mess. Shaw's preliminary go is not adequate. They need to all do higher.
"From a defensive standpoint, the 2 targets conceded are completely appalling."
And the criticism did not cease there, subsequent within the firing line was Bruno Fernandes.
The person captaining United throughout their collapse supposedly requested Erik ten Hag to substitute him off because the midfielder misplaced his mood.
Neville stated: "Fernandes has been embarrassing at instances.
"The second half has been an absolute shame, a shambles. They haven't been epitomised greater than Fernandes".
