'White Men Can't Jump' Remake Trailer Takes On Race, Culture And Basketball

The trailer, which was launched Thursday, options actor Sinqua Partitions and rapper Jack Harlow, who star within the movie as characters Kamal and Jeremy, respectively.

The clip begins with Kamal and Jeremy on a basketball court docket collaborating in a guess to see who could make extra photographs. Jeremy wins the guess, and later accuses Kamal of assuming he couldn’t play basketball as a result of he’s white, to which Kamal responds: “No, I assumed you couldn’t hoop since you had been dressed like a white woman at Complete Meals.”

The brand new film is a remake of the 1992 basic “White Males Can’t Leap,” directed by Ron Shelton and starring Wesley Snipes, Woody Harrelson and Rosie Perez.

Charles Kidd II, often called Calmatic, directs the upcoming movie. In February, he advised Selection that the film, which is about to stream on Hulu on Could 19, will likely be a “trendy remix” of the unique. The 2023 “White Males Can’t Leap” additionally stars Teyana Taylor and Lance Reddick, who died final month.

Harlow, a Grammy-nominated rapper, will make his appearing debut with “White Males Can’t Leap.”

Calmatic praised Harlow’s efficiency within the movie, telling Selection in February that the rapper’s “allure from being an artist leapt over to his appearing facet.”
