VILLAGERS are beneath siege from an otter which has killed and injured dozens of koi.

Fish-keepers are turning ponds into Fort Knox after the predator brought about carnage in evening raids.

They included 27-year-old Huge Bertha whose carcass was flung throughout the backyard.

He has put in electrical fences, motion-sensor alarms, cameras, a floodlight and a pretend heron.

Oliver mentioned: “It’s terrifying. I can solely suppose it’s an enormous otter as a result of a few of these fish weigh a ton.

"We discovered Huge Bertha simply left on the garden along with her face half-chewed off.
