Tesla to produce 10,000 power-storage devices a year in Shanghai

US automotive firm, Tesla, has introduced it's constructing a Megafactory in Shanghai which is able to produce new Megapack power-storage units in 2024. 

In a tweet, US billionaire enterprise magnate and Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk mentioned the transfer will "complement output of [the] Megapack manufacturing unit in California".

A Megapack is a really massive battery that shops power, helps stabilise the ability grid, and prevents outages. Every container-sized battery can retailer sufficient power to energy about 3,600 houses for one hour. 

Building is scheduled for the third quarter of this yr and is predicted to start manufacturing as soon as the plant is full someday earlier than the second half of subsequent yr. 

Tesla says the manufacturing unit will probably be able to producing 10,000 Megapacks yearly.
