DUP MP warns Rishi Sunak there will be ‘no surrender’ to power-share with EU

RISHI Sunak says he has a plan to get a brand new deal which can repair the Northern Eire Protocol.

Maybe the PM will flip magician and conjure up a rabbit out of the hat.

However I don’t suppose there are any rabbits — or perhaps a hat to tug them from.

If his plan entails retaining any a part of the protocol the DUP won't be going again into power-sharing. It's that easy.

It will be puzzling for a chief minister to expend a lot political capital, risking mutiny from his MPs, if it doesn't restore power-sharing.

We're approaching the twenty fifth anniversary of the Good Friday Settlement.

However we should not rush a deal to hit a deadline.

That is about who governs, who makes the legal guidelines — us or the EU?

There should be no give up.
