Britain's Prince Harry and his spouse Meghan, have been requested to vacate their London house, suggesting an extra fraying of ties with the royal household amid preparations for the coronation of his father, King Charles III.
Frogmore Cottage, within the grounds of Windsor Fortress west of London, had been supposed because the couple's fundamental residence earlier than they gave up royal duties and moved to Southern California. The Solar newspaper reported that Charles began the eviction course of on 11 January, the day after the publication of Harry's explosive memoir "Spare."
“We will affirm The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage,” a spokesperson for the couple stated in assertion.
British media have reported that King Charles has as a substitute supplied Frogmore Cottage to his brother Prince Andrew.
Disclosures Harry made in "Spare" deepened the rift between him and his household. The ebook included his account of personal conversations together with his father, and his brother, Prince William.
After they left Britain, Harry and Meghan had stated Frogmore Cottage would stay their base once they visited the UK.
In September 2020, a spokesman introduced the couple had repaid 2.4 million kilos (€2.71 million) in British taxpayers’ cash that was used to renovate the house once they had been working members of the royal household.
The cash was "totally coated" for the price of the renovation, the spokesman stated.
