An elephant and a lion engaged in a comical standoff lately at a properly in South Africa earlier than the plucky pachyderm supplied the punch line. (Watch the video beneath.)
In a video posted by the wildlife platform Newest Sightings, a lion was lounging by the properly on the Balule Sport Reserve when an elephant approached, bringing the lion to consideration. The elephant started to dip its trunk within the properly and drink.

... the good beast used its trunk to flick water on the lion, which skedaddled into the bush.
The elephant let loose a hilariously triumphant roar because it trailed the lion offscreen in footage from an Africam path digicam shared by Aidan Rademeyer. The elephant retreated barely on the roar of an unseen lion, and the clip ended there.
“The lioness and elephant each went about their day, maybe with a newfound respect for one another,” Newest Sightings wrote.
