CESAR AZPILICUETA watched coaching as he recovers from a horrific head damage he suffered in opposition to Southampton.

The Chelsea captain was concussed after being kicked within the head by Saints star Sekou Mara as he tried an overhead kick on Saturday.

Azpilicueta appeared to have been knocked out as he lay on the bottom immobile.

He shortly obtained medical therapy which included being given oxygen.

After a couple of minutes of help he was taken off the pitch earlier than being taken to hospital.

Chelsea launched an announcement on his situation revealing he was properly sufficient to look at his team-mates prepare.
