A SEVEN-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after he plunged 30ft onto a stone path at a Lancashire magnificence spot.
Rescue groups rushed to Rivington Terraced Gardens at about 2pm yesterday after the boy was reported to have fell down the Seven Arches Bridge landmark.
Ambulance crews attended together with members of Bolton Mountain Rescue Group.
The boy was taken to Royal Manchester Kids's Hospital after the 9 metre fall.
A Bolton Mountain Rescue spokesperson stated yesterday: "At 14:04 this afternoon the crew was contacted by North West Ambulance Service NHS Belief who had been requesting our attendance to assist extricate a casualty at Rivington Terraced Gardens.
"An NWAS crew and North West Air Ambulance Charity plane had been already in attendance.
"A seven yr outdated boy was reported to have tumbled some 30 ft down steep floor under the Seven Arches Bridge landmark, ultimately coming to relaxation on a stone path.
"Working with the NWAS and NWAA crews on scene the younger man was carried as much as the bridge and transferred to an NWAS ambulance for switch by street to Royal Manchester Kids's Hospital.
"Our thanks go to quite a few members of workers from United Utilities for his or her help throughout this incident."
