A MAN has died and 4 partygoers are injured after being shot throughout a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans.

Gunfire erupted as crowds gathered at the Bacchus celebration that happened within the Louisiana metropolis on Sunday.

Cops revealed that 5 folks, together with a younger woman, had been shot in the course of the festivities, WDSU reported.

Three males, a woman, and a lady have been rushed to the hospital.

Cops have since confirmed that a man has died.

NOPD Chief Deputy Hans Ganthier revealed that the younger woman is believed to be secure.

Crowds fled in terror after listening to gunshots.

Gilmore revealed that he noticed a lady being attended to on the bottom.
