SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Prosecutors have dropped the potential for a sentence enhancement that might have carried a compulsory five-year sentence in opposition to Alec Baldwin in a deadly film-set taking pictures, in response to new courtroom filings made public Monday.
The actor-producer’s attorneys had earlier objected to the enhancement, saying it was unconstitutional as a result of it was added after the October 2021 taking pictures.
