Brit tourist, 50, dies after ‘high speed’ crash and suffering cardiac arrest while skiing off-piste in French Alps

A BRIT vacationer has died after a "excessive pace" crash whereas snowboarding off-piste within the French Alps.

The person, 50, went into cardiac arrest and suffered critical accidents within the horror accident on the Meribel ski resort.

A ski station operator who witnessed the incident described the person as "taking off" into the air earlier than touchdown at a "very excessive pace", studies the Telegraph.

Emergency companies, together with mountain rescuers and a helicopter, rushed to the scene, the place the person was pronounced useless.

Skiers who witnessed the crash are mentioned to be in "shock" and are receiving psychological help.

French police are investigating the incident.

The incident occurred within the Saulire sector of the resort, the place the world snowboarding championships are going down.

In the meantime, an American skier, 21, died after plunging 650ft in Higher Savoie mountains.
