Russian court rejects Navalny's complaints over prison conditions

A Russian courtroom has rejected complaints by jailed opposition chief Alexei Navalny about his jail circumstances.

Showing in entrance of a decide by way of video hyperlink, Navalny claimed that he was being held illegally, and requested that communication along with his spouse be maintained.

"Please inform Yulia that for some cause letters will not be coming from her once more and that I'm passing her all types of greetings to her and the youngsters, and if she would not obtain a solution from me... I am unable to even write to her myself."

The listening to occurred amid stories on the deterioration of Navalny's heath - and calls from his spouse and allies urging jail employees to offer fundamental medicines.

The 46-year-old is serving a nine-year sentence on fraud costs in a most safety jail colony 250 kilometres east of Moscow.

Navalny, his allies and Western governments and rights teams say he was the sufferer of trumped-up costs designed to silence him.

The Kremlin critic was arrested in Russia in January 2021 upon coming back from Germany, the place he had been recuperating from nerve-agent poisoning he has blamed on Moscow.
