A polar bear mauled and killed a lady and a boy after chasing residents within the distant village of Wales, in western Alaska, on Tuesday afternoon.
The animal was shot useless by a resident, ending the terrifying assault, Alaska State Troopers mentioned.
The names and ages of the victims weren’t instantly launched.
“Preliminary experiences point out that a polar bear had entered the group and had chased a number of residents,” troopers mentioned in a dispatch posted on its web site.
“Troopers and the Alaska Division of Fish and Recreation are working to journey to Wales as climate situations enable,” it added.
