Classified Documents Found At Mike Pence's Home

NEW YORK (AP) — Paperwork with categorized markings had been found in former Vice President Mike Pence's Indiana Dwelling final week, based on his legal professional.

“The extra data look like a small variety of paperwork bearing categorized markings that had been inadvertently boxed and transported to the private residence of the previous Vice President on the finish of the final Administration," Pence's lawyer, Greg Jacob, informed the Nationwide Archives in a letter final week.

He mentioned that “Pence was unaware of the existence of delicate or categorized paperwork at his private residence” and that he "understands the excessive significance of defending delicate and categorized data and stands prepared and prepared to cooperate totally with the Nationwide Archives and any acceptable inquiry."

A Justice Division spokesman declined to remark Tuesday, and a lawyer for Pence didn't instantly reply to an electronic mail in search of additional elaboration.

Pence informed the Related Press in August that he didn't take any categorized data with him when he left workplace.

Requested immediately if he had retained any categorized data upon leaving workplace, he mentioned, “No, to not my data.”
