Kyiv says Russian 'kamikaze' drone flies over South Ukraine nuclear plant

KYIV – The Ukrainian atomic vitality company accused Russia on Monday of flouting nuclear security by sending a “kamikaze” drone over a part of the South Ukraine Nuclear Energy Plant within the Mykolaiv area simply after midnight.

Energoatom stated the Iranian-made Shahed drone had been detected at 00:46 early Monday over the station and stated it was calling on the worldwide nuclear group to guard atomic websites from the dangers of warfare.

“That is a completely unacceptable violation of nuclear and radiation security,” Energoatom wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

Invading Russian forces at the moment occupy one other Ukrainian nuclear energy plant, the Zaporizhzhia advanced, Europe’s largest, close to entrance traces in Ukraine’s southeast. Talks are ongoing to determine a security zone across the plant.
