North Korea fires more missiles as US flies bombers over the south

North Korea has added to its current barrage of weapon testings by launching 4 extra ballistic missiles into the ocean on Saturday. 

The newest rockets come as the USA despatched two supersonic bombers streaking over South Korea. There are fears the dueling show of army would possibly underscore rising tensions within the area. 

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Employees stated the 4 short-range missiles have been fired from a North Korean western coastal space round midday. 

They flew about 130 kilometres towards the nation’s western sea.

Seoul's army added that two B-1B bombers had been coaching with 4 US F-16 fighter jets and 4 South Korean F-35 jets on Saturday, as a part of the final day of “Vigilant Storm” joint drills. 

It marked the primary time since December 2017 that the bombers have been deployed to the Korean Peninsula. 

The workouts concerned round 240 warplanes, together with superior F-35 fighter jets from each nations.

North Korea’s International Ministry late Friday described the nation’s army actions this week as an "acceptable" response to the US-South Korea train.
