French TV groups TF1 and Canal+ end broadcasting dispute

PARIS – French TV teams TF1 and Canal+ struck a distribution deal on Friday that ends a current dispute between the 2 rival broadcasting teams that had disadvantaged tens of millions of Canal+ subscribers of TF1‘s free channels for months.

Broadcasting will begin once more on Nov. 7, the 2 teams mentioned.

Canal+ had ended its partnership with TF1, France’s largest tv group managed by Bouygues, as a result of it mentioned the value TF1 was asking for persevering with to ship its programmes was too excessive.
