LONDON – British finance minister Kwasi Kwarteng mentioned “let’s see”, when requested in an interview if monetary markets had improved on Thursday due to expectations of a U-turn on his plans to scrap a rise in company tax, the Telegraph reported.
Responding to a query about how markets “have improved at this time as a result of they suppose you’re about to do a U-turn on company tax”, Kwarteng mentioned: “Let’s see”, the newspaper mentioned.
