'Momento Mori': Depeche Mode return with new album and world tour

British digital group Depeche Mode have introduced a brand new album titled 'Memento Mori', marking their first album in six years - since 2017’s 'Spirit'.

The album, to be launched subsequent spring, will probably be accompanied by an in depth worldwide tour, together with dwell reveals in Europe and North America. 

Lead singer Dave Gahan stated he and fellow band mainstay Martin Gore began speaking in January about working collectively on the venture. 

Gore had been writing "for some time, by the pandemic," and got here up with the title - Latin for "Keep in mind that you have to die."

The announcement of the album comes months after the loss of life of the band's founding member and keyboardist, Andy "Fletch" Fletcher.

He was about to affix the workforce in Santa Barbara, California, when he died in Might and did not get to listen to any of the fabric, Gahan stated.

"I am certain that his absence within the studio indirectly modifications what we did, and that may occur once we carry out on stage as effectively," he added. 

"I miss him, and I missed him being within the studio. I missed the issues that he would say and do - a few of them, some not a lot," Gahan joked.
