– A verdict within the Russian medicine trial of U.S. basketball star Brittney Griner, who faces as much as 10 years in jail, is predicted on Thursday night, her lawyer mentioned.
Griner, a two-time Olympic gold medallist and a Ladies’s Nationwide Basketball Affiliation (WNBA) star, was detained at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport on Feb. 17 with vape cartridges containing cannabis oil in her baggage. She has been in Russian custody since.
