Sri Lankan protestors stated they meant to occupy the president's palace till he resigns, after storming the constructing over the weekend.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was chased out of his palace within the Sri Lankan capital Colombo on Saturday, amid mass demonstrations over his authorities's dealing with of an unprecedented financial disaster.
"Our wrestle isn't over," stated Lahiru Weerasekara, a scholar protest chief. "We can't hand over till he is actually gone."
Rajapaksa, who fled aboard a ship to a navy base within the northeast of the island, has promised to resign on Wednesday, having held energy for greater than 15 years along with his brothers.
