First freight train from China's Anhui province to Budapest launched

A freight practice carrying 20 containers and cargo value nearly 10 million euros has left Hefei in China for Budapest. It's the first ever practice cargo supply of its variety between the 2 cities.

The journey will take 16 to 18 days, a lot faster than sending freight by ship, and covers over 10 thousand kilometres.

The containers are stuffed with merchandise like photo voltaic panel parts, electrical machines and inverters made in China's Anhui province, the place Hefei is the capital.

Nonetheless, this isn't China's first freight practice to Europe. In 2014 Anhui launched this service and since then there have been 2,500 journeys made to 85 cities in 18 international locations.

Up to now this 12 months there have been a complete of 500 freight practice journeys between China and Europe.
