BEIJING -Chinese language President Xi Jinping advised his Zambian counterpart in a phone name on Tuesday that China was keen to strengthen and broaden bilateral ties with Zambia, in response to a Chinese language state tv report.
Over the previous 12 months, China-Zambia relations have maintained optimistic momentum, Xi stated, including that China will promote the entry of extra Zambian merchandise into the Chinese language market, particularly high-quality agricultural items.
China may even strengthen epidemic management cooperation with Zambia, he advised President Hakainde Hichilema.
In a press release posted on his official Fb web page, Hichilema stated: “We mentioned the potential for better cooperation and win-win partnerships, the ample funding alternatives that Zambia provides, and our shared dedication to working collectively to handle and resolve the debt concern.”
In 2020, Zambia turned the primary nation to default within the COVID-19 period. On the finish of 2021, its exterior debt stood at $17.27 billion, of which China held $5.78 billion.
