Germany's Scholz to travel to Kyiv with Macron and Draghi before G7 - Bild am Sonntag

FRANKFURT -German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will journey to Kyiv together with his counterparts from France and Italy earlier than the Group of Seven summit on the finish of June, the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag reported on Saturday.

It cited French and Ukrainian authorities sources.

A German authorities spokesperson instructed Reuters: “We're not in a position to verify this.” The Elysee Palace in Paris and the Italian authorities didn't instantly reply to requests for remark.

Not one of the three leaders has been to Kyiv since Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine in February.

French President Emmanuel Macron has sought to keep up a dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin for the reason that warfare started.

His stance has been criticised by some jap and Baltic companions in Europe as they see it as undermining efforts to push Putin to the negotiating desk.
