Germany to deploy temporary foreign workers to ease staff shortage at German airports - Bild

BERLIN – Germany will enable the entry of overseas employees to fill workers shortages on the German airports as a short lived resolution, Bild am Sonntag reported on Sunday, citing the inside, transport and labour ministers.

Airport operators throughout Europe, together with Germany, have been battling workers shortages to deal with the movement of passengers as demand for journey bounces again with the top of most COVID-19 restrictions.

Images of travellers ready in lengthy strains at safety test factors at Duesseldorf airport earlier this week confirmed the size of the scarcity which has prompted chaos in the course of the vacation season.

The Inside, Labour and Transport ministries will begin a joint marketing campaign for brining non permanent overseas staff to work at German airports, Bild stated, including that there was a scarcity round 2,000 to three,000 staff on the airports.

The marketing campaign goals to convey a four-digit variety of expert employees from Turkey to Germany, who might be deployed for a number of months from July.

Labour Minister Hubertus Heil stated employers should pay collective wages and supply respectable lodging for a restricted time.

“We wish to rule out any type of social dumping and exploitation,” Heil was quoted as saying by Bild.
