UK finance minister Sunak says no option off the table on windfall taxes

LONDON – Britain’s finance minister Rishi Sunak stated on Tuesday if power corporations didn’t reinvest income again into jobs, progress and power safety then no choice is off the desk on the subject of the potential for introducing windfall taxes.

“And what we wish to see are power corporations who've made extraordinary income at a time of acutely elevated costs, investing these income again into British jobs. Development and power safety,” Sunak stated in parliament on the problem of windfall taxes.

“However as I've been clear, and as I've stated repeatedly, if that doesn’t occur quickly and at vital scale, then no choice is off the desk.”
