Kevin Hart raised some eyebrows on “Jimmy Kimmel Stay” Thursday when he stated this week’s onstage assault on fellow comedian Dave Chappelle “wanted to occur.” (Watch the video under.)
Hart stated the incident, by which Chappelle was tackled throughout a present in Los Angeles by a person with a knife hooked up to a pretend gun, was “not scary.”
“Any person ran on stage and bought their ass kicked,” Hart stated, referring to the assailant being roughed up by safety.
“It’s a type of issues that wanted to occur, although,” Hart declared.
After fill-in host Mike Birbiglia voiced his objection, Hart clarified.
“Mike, would you like individuals to proceed to suppose that they will cross that line? ... The suspect, Isaiah Lee, 23, won't be charged with a felony, officers stated Thursday.
