European new car sales drop tenth month in a row in April - ACEA

BERLIN – The variety of new automobiles offered in Europe declined for the tenth month in a row as provide chain points proceed to take a heavy toll on automotive manufacturing, trade information confirmed on Wednesday.

The variety of new autos registered within the European Union, Britain and the European Free Commerce Affiliation (EFTA) in April was down 20.2% year-on-year, at 830,447 automobiles, information from the area’s carmaker affiliation (ACEA) confirmed.

All 4 of the most important European Union markets – Spain, Italy, Germany and France – contributed to the decline, ACEA added.
