Volvo Cars says March sales fall 22%, hurt by chip shortage

STOCKHOLM – Volvo Vehicles stated on Monday automobile gross sales in March fell 22% to 58,677 vehicles because the automaker confronted shortages of a particular semiconductor.

Volvo, majority owned by China’s Geely Holding, stated the scarcity is predicted to affect manufacturing in the course of the second quarter.
