Ukraine's ombudswoman says Russia's treatment of POWs may break Geneva Conventions

– Returning Ukrainian prisoners of battle imagine their therapy by Russia whereas in captivity broke the Geneva Conventions, Ukrainian human rights ombudswoman Lyudmyla Denisova mentioned on Monday.

She mentioned some former prisoners had reported that they'd been stored in basements, denied meals and made to take off their uniforms.

The Geneva Conventions set up worldwide authorized requirements for humanitarian therapy in battle. Russia didn't instantly reply to Denisova’s feedback.
