Sarah Palin is operating for Congress.
The previous Alaska governor and right-wing Tea Social gathering champion had stepped away from politics since her failed vice presidential bid in 2008 as Republican John McCain’s operating mate.
The congressional seat opened up when longtime Republican Rep. Don Younger died final week. Palin shortly indicated she would contemplate operating for the seat. She confirmed her candidacy with a press release Friday.

Although Palin has not had a political position in 12 years, she has remained within the public eye and within the information.
